Gretel, the Catalan startup specialising in real-time anomaly detection software for marketing departments, has closed a €632,000 ($700,000) financing round, with which it will launch the first version of its product internationally. The deal has been led by venture capital funds Inveready, Extension Fund and Enzo Ventures, and has been accompanied by leading business angels such as Lanai Partners, Dídac Lee and Kintxo Cortés.
Across Legal has advised Enzo on its investment, with a team led by Iván Moll and in which Marc Pereta has also participated. The Barcelona-based company has worked during 2022 on the validation of its business idea with more than 100 marketing professionals. Its founders, Martí Gou and Alex Hughes, agreed on the need to create a platform capable of simplifying the management of internal information in companies.
Over the last year, they have developed a first prototype capable of detecting critical information, with the help of AI, from essential applications for marketing departments such as Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Ads and displaying the relevant information proactively in real time to its users.
Gretel has used the funding raised to increase its team to seven professionals and develop its first prototype that will be launched on the market in 2023.
With its digital assistant, the Spanish startup solves problems that marketing departments face on a daily basis, such as missing relevant information and making decisions based on erroneous information.
