GED Capital has entered the capital of the aerospace company Ienai Space through a co-investment with the Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico y la Innovación (CDTI), a public organisation that has provided €1.35 million. Across Legal has advised Ienai Space in the transaction, with a team formed by Iván Moll, Víctor Martín and Borja Vallejo.
The transaction has been carried out through the fund ‘GED Conexo Ventures’, a vehicle launched in 2019 that accumulates a total of 17 investments. The commercial object of Ienai Space is a proprietary electric propulsion system, called ‘Athena’, to provide mobility to satellites in orbit weighing less than 300 kilograms, while they expect to market it from 2025.
