Carlos Escapa is an author, advisor, and investor specializing in Deep Tech. He has more than two decades of experience in the United States, Europe, and Asia, combining entrepreneurial experience with leadership in large technology companies.
For five years, he led the AI practice in the Amazon Web Services partner division, where he created and developed the sales channel through Systems Integrators. Previously, he was part of Meta AI, leading strategic alliances in Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence with cloud hyperscalers. Before his time at large technology companies, he was co-founder and CEO of VirtualSharp Software, a company that culminated in an exit to Unitrends Inc (Insight Venture Partners).
Carlos joins Across Legal, bringing a strategic vision on data and AI, technology ecosystems, and innovation scaling. In addition to his professional activity, Carlos is a regular lecturer at leading business schools such as Berkeley Haas, Stanford, IE, and ESADE, where he teaches classes on Innovation and Artificial Intelligence. He is a computer engineer with a master’s degree from Virginia Tech and a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University.
