Across Legal has advised Penpot on its $8M funding round led by Decibel, with participation from Athos Capital, Eric Wittman and Dave Crossland.
Penpot is an open source prototyping and collaborative design platform. The company intends to use the funds to create more features for designers and developers and expand its community.
Founded in 2011 and led by CEO Pablo Ruiz-Múzquiz, Kaleidos develops and optimises two open source products for digital cross-functional teams: Penpot, whose platform is used by more than 10,000 companies, including Google, Microsoft, Red Hat, Tencent, Bytedance and Mozilla; and Taiga, a project management tool for agile teams used by more than one million people worldwide, including companies such as HP, Red Hat and Tata.
