We advised Consentio in the financing round led by Mundi Ventures, in which Label Investments and Hambro Perks also participated.
Consentio closed a financing round of 4.5 million euros with the aim of expanding its business in Spain, the US, France and the Netherlands, markets in which it was already present. The operation was led by the venture capital fund Mundi Ventures, in a deal in which Label Investments and Hambro Perks, a London investment firm focused on technology investments, also participated. The technological start-up was advised by Across Legal throughout the whole process.
Consentio is a fruit and vegetable platform that was born in Barcelona with the idea of digitalizing the food supply chain and optimizing the sales processes between producers, wholesalers and supermarkets, whose supply model has been stressed by the Covid-19 crisis. In addition to providing more transparency and efficiency, companies in the sector that opt for digital solutions such as Consentio can reduce the waste of fruit and vegetables between 15 and 20%.
The founder and CEO of Mundi Ventures, Javier Santiso, stated that in addition to a great team, Consentio is a “perfect example” where digitization helps an industry to modernize and at the same time adapt to the essential sustainability goals for 2030, fighting against waste throughout the food chain.
