With the appointment of Alex Plana, Across Legal launches a specialized practice in management companies, investment funds, and financial regulation. Alex Plana holds a law degree from Pompeu Fabra University and master’s degrees in Legal Practice from the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (ISDE) and International Business Law from ESADE. With over 13 years of experience in venture capital, he has been involved in more than 50 investment rounds, company acquisitions, and the formation of management companies and investment funds. Additionally, he is an active member of several institutions dedicated to venture capital and the financial sector. He serves as a partner and professor at the Instituto de Capital Riesgo (INCARI) and collaborates with the Instituto de Estudios Financieros (IEF). Alex has been recognized by multiple directories, including Best Lawyers, which named him Lawyer of the Year in Investment Funds for 2023.
He has authored numerous academic articles and works on commercial law, venture capital, and sustainability, with a special focus on sustainable and responsible investments (SRI), in collaboration with organizations like INCARI and IEF, among others.
